Everyone needs a little bit of Ubuntu. You won’t want to miss being a part of this amazing movement! Your kindness and involvement can give 60 children a life-changing opportunity!

Our goal is to raise R20,000 (USD$1000) by 19 June. Donate now and be a Wing Giver!

At PLAY camp we have an activity called Be a Wing Giver. Campers learn about the power of giving Wings vs. Rocks. Wing Givers are people who lift us up and encourage us to be all we can be. Rock Givers use words that weigh you down and hold you back. In a world that is filled with so much negativity, we want to change the narrative. One camper from each team is awarded a Wing Giver bracelet by their team leader for an act of kindness, then they are encouraged to pass it on. The bracelet passes from camper to camper throughout the week, with recognition of each act of kindness or word of encouragement that earned the bracelet.

Now it's time for YOU to earn your Wing Giver bracelet and pass it on! Earn a Wing Giver bracelet by:

  • making a one-time donation to PLAY of R300 or more, or
  • signing up to be a monthly donor in any amount

In South Africa, if you have a credit card that allows international purchases, you can click on the boxes above to donate. The donation amounts are listed in US dollars and are equal to the following in rand (the rand to dollar exchange rate varies daily):

~R100 buys a bible for a camper ($5)

~R200 buys a pair of tekkies ($10)

~R300 monthly sends a kid to camp ($17 a month)

~R600 monthly sends 2 kids to camp ($34 a month)

~R3000 once-off sends a kid to camp ($200)

If you are in Gauteng, we can arrange to get the bracelet to you. Be sure to include your contact details when donating so we can arrange the delivery of your bracelet, or send us an email at PLAYnonprofit.org@gmail.com with your address so we can mail you the bracelet.

Sport it proudly while you look for someone who is lifting others up and pass it on! Then post a pic on social media of who you gave it to and why. Then encourage them to pass it on and post it too!
